Welcome to the University of Tasmania Disability Service information website.The Disability Service is located within the Support and Equity Unit, which offers a comprehensive suite of services for students and staff.

The General Principles contained within the University Disability Policy demonstrate the University's commitment to inclusion of students and staff with disability in education and employment.

General Principles

1. The University accepts that it has a legal obligation to eliminate disability discrimination from its structures and practices in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
2. The University has a moral and ethical commitment to equal opportunity in education and employment for people with disability.
3. The University is committed to a strategy of universal access, whereby all of its stakeholders share responsibility for inclusion of people with disability.
